Congress workers murder: FIR filed against CPM workers

Kasaragod: CPM workers have been accused of murdering the two Congress youths in the FIR registered against them on Monday and the reason for the action is because of political rivalry, it is mentioned. The FIR also names local CPM leaders as involved in the murders due to the old enmity with the deceased.

The police have collected information regarding the death threats the victims Sarath Lal and Kripesh had from local CPM leaders. Currently, the investigation is progressing by keeping the CPM leaders in the middle.

Kannur zone IG Balaram Kumar Upadhyaya and SP of the district Dr A Srinivas have visited the spot and assessed the security situation.

The police have recovered a lethal weapon, two mobiles and a pair of chappals from the spot of the murder. Forensic experts and dog squad personnel have also gathered essential clues from the location. Apparently, the have clear information regarding the killers identities.

The mortal remains of Kripesh and Sarath Lal will be brought to the city with the completion of the autopsy at Periyaram medical college. They will be kept for public viewing at five different places. The funeral will be conducted at around 5 pm on Monday, February 18.
