Girl child succumbs to severe burn injuries

Belthangady: A girl child, who was admitted at a hospital post suffering severe burn injuries, succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday.

The deceased victim is identified as Nishmiya (4), daughter of Abdul Khader and Rukiya couple from Pilya Badriya Nagar in the taluk. Nishmiya had been admitted to the hospital after having sustained critical injuries after gruel from the cooked rice fell on her. The kid had suffered 50% burn injuries on February 13th and was admitted to a private hospital in Mangaluru.

A case in this connection has been registered with Venoor police station.
