Aluru: Male leopard caught

Kundapur: In a joint operation conducted by the villagers from Huyyan in Aluru village and forest department officials, a 9-year-old leopard was successfully caught.
The leopard which was seated in bush nearby got caught in a wire fence near the bush and observing this, the villagers promptly informed the forest department officials.
By putting a fence around the wire fence and then loosening the wire fence to release the leopard, the wild cat was successfully trapped into a cage. The leopard was later released safely at another location.
Kundapur zone forest officer Prabhakar Kulal, DRF’s Dilip from Aluru, Udaya from Kundapur, Hema from Neralakatte, staff Udaya, Manjunath, Basavaraju, Hariprasad, driver Ashok and locals took part in the operation.
