Since 2017, I was putting effort of this G+3 housing project at Shakthinagar. Rs 61.50 crore has been sanctioned for this project and 9 acre land has been identified at Shakthinagar.”
“The building sketch has been finalised and all the procedures for the housing project have been completed. Foundation stone has been laid, allocation letter has been distributed to the beneficiaries and nearly 75% of work pertaining to housing project has been completed in last two years. But MLA Vedavyas Kamath is falsely leveling charges against me over this housing project. Prior to the assembly elections also BJP had taken up this matter and criticised for no reason,” said Mr Lobo.
“Out of the first phase amount of Rs 61.50 crore, Rs 5.58 crore was already released for the same. Land documentation has been done and valuation money has been paid to the forest department and permission for the project has been obtained. But MLA Vedavyas Kamath has hatched a conspiracy to bring stay on the permission from forest department,” alleged Lobo.
“If Vedavyas is not capable of finishing the project, I know how to execute and complete it. If he is not capable enough to complete the project, then he should resign to his post,” demanded the form MLA.
“In the last 9 months of Vedavyas Kamath being in power as Mangaluru South MLA, he has not brought any funds or got sanctioned any project to Mangaluru South. He is busy cutting ribbons and inaugurating projects which were sanctioned during my tenure. Before criticizing others he should know about his contribution to Mangaluru,” Lobo advised.
“Vedavyas Kamath started the no horn concept, which will remain in his dreams. If possible work on parking spaces and construct bus stands. Musical fountain was inaugurated now, but it is not maintained properly. Children train Kadri Park is still not functioning, Urwa Sports Complex work has not yet commenced and Smart City discussions are not being done,” Pointed out Lobo.
“Valencia road is supposed to be joined to the national highway, yet it remains as it is since I left. BJP protested over court road as they only know to protest. During the last 9 months of Vedavyas Kamath’s tenure no development has been done. I know how to do the Shakthinagar project and I’ll do it. Vedavyas should just join hands with me,” added Lobo.
