Mangaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and All India Congress Committee will finalize the final list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, informed district in-charge minister U T Khader and also said that he is not the candidate for the LS polls.

Speaking to reporters at the Circuit House on Thursday, Khader said that it was only rumours that he was selected as the candidate from Congress for the LS polls.

Unlike any other political party, Congress party is the only party where one has the right to ask for a ticket to contest and this is because of the democratic setup of Congress party, he said.

Khader also informed that election preparations were in full swing in the district and the training regarding the campaigning for Lok Sabha elections in booth and district level have been initiated.
