Mandya: The family of martyred Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan H. Guru clarified that there were no differences in their family over the donation amount received.
According to reports in some sections of the media, the family had received donation/compensation amount of ₹12 crore to ₹15 crore after the death of Guru and as the result differences had developed between Guru’s mother Chikkolamma and wife Kalavathi over sharing the amount. It was also said that Chikkolamma wanted her daughter-in-law to get married to her younger son H. Anand.
On Saturday, March 2 both Guru’s mother Chikkolamma and wife Kalavathi along with some Janata Dal (Secular) workers, addressed media persons here and said that there is no dispute between them. Mediapersons are simply misquoting them.
Kalavathi further informed that she decide the future course of action whether to continue education and join State government-offered job only after meeting Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy in Bengaluru.
However, the family did not confirm the amount they have received from the public and the government agencies.
