Former union minister Dhananjay Kumar no more

Mangaluru: Former union minister V Dhananjay Kumar (67) who was suffering from illness since a long time passed away here at a private hospital in Mangaluru on Monday, March 4.
Four months ago, Dhananjay Kumar was admitted to a private hospital as his health condition deteriorated.
Mr Kumar started his political career in 1983 by joining BJP party, was elected as MLA and subsequently became a MP and gave his service as a Union minister. He had also left BJP and joined KJP which was started by Yeddyurappa.
However, Yeddyurappa later joined back to BJP but Dhananjay’s re-entry into BJP party was denied by the party’s top leaders post which he joined the Congress party.
The deceased minister’s mortal remains will be kept at his residence at Kadri Kambala from 7 am to 10 am for the public to pay homage on March 5th after which it will be taken to Venur, his hometown.
