Udupi: In order to take up repair works along Agumbe Ghat road, an order has been passed banning all vehicular movement along the stretch from March 19th for a period of 30 days and instead, an alternative road will be provided for vehicular movement.

The deputy commissioner has ordered the placement of sign boards at appropriate locations to prevent any vehicle from entering the work zone and to prevent any hindrance to the work progress.

The incessant rains during the monsoon last year had caused landslides at some locations in Agumbe Ghat road and July 10th an 13th.
