Bajpe: The helicopter in which former prime minister Deve Gowda , chief minister Kumaraswamy were travelling back to Bengaluru after visiting Sri Kshetra Sringeri stopped at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) for refueling on Thursday March 7th.
The family do Deve Gowda visited Sringeri temple on Wednesday and conducted Pooja there. After conducting Chandika Yaga on Thursday, the family left for Bengaluru in a helicopter. Along the route, the helicopter was running out of furl and hence it landed at MIA at 1:20 pm in the afternoon.
On the occasion, Deve Gowda, Kumaraswamy and his son Nikhil spent some time at the lounge in the airport. However Deve Gowda’s wife Chennamma and Anita Kumaraswamy spent their time in the helicopter. The helicopter continued on with its journey to Bengaluru later in the afternoon at 2 pm, informed sources.
An empty helicopter was expected!
There was information that the helicopter would come without its passengers for refueling. But it is worth noting that Deve Gowda and family arrived to MIA in a sudden development of events. But the district JD(S) leaders had no clue regarding this arrival.
Father-son discussion
It is learnt that, while Deve Gowda, Kumaraswamy and his son Nikhil were resting at the lounge, they held important discussion regarding the political development and the distribution of tickets.
