Yash said he immediately contacted the home minister and police officials to check the status of the FIR after he learnt about some television channels running programmes about contract killers targeting him.

On Thursday, March 7 sleuths from Central Crime Branch (CCB) had arrested seven men who were moving around suspiciously. They told cops that their leader Bharat alias Slum Bharat, who is in judicial custody at Central Prison had taken supari to kill an eminent personality from Sandalwood.

Additional commissioner of police (crime) Alok Kumar informed that probe revealed Bharath was all set to kill a noted actor in the Kannada film industry, but they never revealed Yash’s name.
