MIA: Gold worth Rs 27 lakh seized from 2 passengers

Bajpe: Gold in the form of paste and powder was seized by the customs officials from two passengers who had hidden the precious metal in their rectum at Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Monday March 11th.
458.48 grams of gold worth Rs15.92 lakh and 335.47 grams of gold worth Rs 11 lakh was seized from the respective passengers. The culprits had arrived from Dubai by Air India Express flight number IX 814.
