Bengaluru: A protest against the construction of an elevated corridor was staged on Saturday by the Resident Welfare Associations and several other organisations.
Following the protest, Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara said that the reason behind the protest is a difference in people’s opinion.
He further explained that the people belonging north of the city want this steel bridge and people from south Bengaluru do not want the bridge.
“The state government will try to convince the protesters and henceforth will ask for the opinion of the people,” he added.
The construction of the elevated corridor is part of development, therefore some positive steps are needed to ease out traffic, he informed.
