Poojary’s ‘encounter’ audio: Puttur man arrested upon arrival at MIA

Mangaluru: A Puttur native who had allegedly created and circulated an audio recording criticising former union minister and Congress leader Janardhan Poojary for speaking in favor of the construction of the Ram Mandir at Ayodhya was arrested by the Kavoor police on Tuesday, March 19 morning.
The arrested identified as Hakim is employed in Saudi Arabia. Police who came to know that Hakim was returning to his native arrested him upon his arrival at Mangaluru International Airport.
In the audio message, which went viral on social networks, Hakeem, who claimed to be an ardent Congress supporter, demanded that Janardhan Poojary needed to be ‘encountered’ or deported from the country along with everyone who demands the Ram Mandir.
A case had been booked against Hakeem under IPC 504 (intentionally trying to provoke breach of the peace) and IPC 507 (criminal intimidation) at various police stations including the cyber police station.
