Mangaluru: Most the legal processes required to extradite underworld element Ravi Poojary from Senegal to India have been completed and soon a police team consisting senior officials from Bengaluru and Mumbai will be leaving to Senegal to bring the accused back to India. Ravi Poojary was arrested by the Senegalese authorities for possession of fake passport.

90% of the legal process for Poojary’s extradition have been completed with the Senegal Court through the Indian Embassy at Dakar. All cases against the accused in Karnataka and Mumbai have been submitted by the respective state police to the Court in Senegal. Meanwhile, Ravi has appointed his own lawyers in Senegal to argue on his behalf. The accused has argued that he is Antony Fernandes and not Ravi Poojary and that he is a businessman in the country. However, based on the documents submitted from India, the arguments of the accused have been quashed y the Senegalese Court, informed police sources to ‘Udayavani’.

Associates tremble

The almost certainty of Ravi Poojary being brought to India has made his associates in Karnataka tremble with fear. Time is drawing closure for the exposure of those who have helped the accused in his criminal activity.
