SSLC English paper circulated on WhatsApp was set for April 2016, say officials

Bengaluru: Amid reports of SSLC English paper leak, officials from the Department of Public Instruction have assured students not to panic as the message of the leak was a fake one.
Just ahead of the exam, scheduled to be held today (Wednesday), a copy of the second language paper started making the rounds on WhatsApp late Tuesday evening creating a tense situation among students.
Clarifying on the paper leak, the officials said that the paper being circulated on the social media was a fake one and was set for the April 2016 exam.
“Following the information received with the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board about the second language English question paper… making the rounds on WhatsApp and verifying it, it is clarified that the paper making the rounds was fake and it appears to be the April 2016 paper. Parents and candidates need not worry,” read an official statement, released by the department.
KSEEB will be registering a complaint with CCB police.
