Bejai: Two kids infected by H1N1

Mangaluru: Two kids of a playschool at Bejai have been confirmed to have been infected by H1N1 and have presently recovered from the ailment.
Along with the 9 children at the playschool and the head of the play school, altogether 12 persons started showing symptoms for cold and fever since the last three days. On getting information, they were subjected to test on Tuesday and it was confirmed that two kids were indeed infected by H1N1 virus. All have been provided with the special medication prescribed for H1N1 virus. The kids suffering from the ailment are keeping well and there is no problem, informed Dr Naveen, Medical officer, Mangaluru Taluk.
As a precautionary measure, a 10 days holiday has been declared at the playschool. Those suffering from cold and fever are advised to take rest at their homes and incase the fever increases, immediately contact a doctor.
Fever which created fear
During the last October-November months, H1N1 disease claimed the lives of 6 people and in Dakshina Kannada district and thereby created an environment of fear in the region.
