BMTC bus topples on flyover, 13 passengers injured

Bengaluru: As many as thirteen passengers sustained injuries after the BMTC bus in which they were travelling toppled on the flyover on West of Chord Road in Rajajinagar and hit the ramp of the flyover on Wednesday, March 27.

Among those injured was a 72-year-old woman who was kept under observation in the ICU and is said to be out of danger. The bus driver, Ninje Gowda and conductor too sustained injuries in the accident.

The mishap took place after the bus suffered a technical snag and Gowda lost control of the bus. It then went on to hit the side ramp and then the parapet, before falling down. Traffic on West of Chord Road was affected due to the mishap.

The police have registered a case and begun investigation.
