Mangaluru: “MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, who asked votes last time in the name of Narendra Modi has not implemented any major plan for Dakshina Kannada district. On contrary, hundreds of problems have increased along the national highway and along with Pumpwell, several other failures can be seen,” said Mithun Rai, Congress candidate for DK Lok Sabha constituency, speaking at the meeting for Congress workers at the Congress office.

What did he say? What did he do?

Speaking on the occasion, District Congress president K Harish Kumar said, “BJP’s assurances during the last election and its actions need to be informed. The people need to be informed of the IT rid and how BJP is misusing constitutional institutions. All must work with the motto ‘My Booth-My Responsibility’ in their concerned areas.

“Congress party has provided 2 representations for the Billava community in the Lok Sabha constituencies. BJP needs to answer why it has not selected a Billava candidate in any of the 28 constituencies?” he asked.

DK district join election committee president B Ramanath Rai said, “Presently, no work is being done by the BJP MLA’s in the district. They are only doing the work the previous MLAs did. Workers need to work for the victory of Congress in DK district as well as in the Lok Sabha elections,” he urged.
