Normal rain at various locations in Karavali

Mangaluru/Ajekaru: Normal rain was experienced at some places in Dakshina Kannada district of Saturday evening.
Rain was witnessed at Subrahmanya and Ajekaru in Karkala, Naravi and surrounding areas at around 4 pm in the evening on March 30th.
The rain lasted for around half-an-hour at Andaru, Shirlalu, Kervashe, Kaduhole and Muniyal areas. Drizzling was experienced in Hirgana area.
Due to the rain, lightning and thunder, power supply was stopped in the area for some time.
Since the last 5 months, the farmers here were in deep trouble due to the lack of rains. Drinking water levels were also dropping. The much welcomed rain as brought down the temperatures by a little extent.
Rise in temperature
Since the last few days, the maximum temperature in the district has been on the rise and there is a corresponding rise in the heat. The highest and lowest recorded temperature in the district was 35 and 25 degree Celsius respectively.
According to the weather forecast by the Weather Department, normal rain is expected at various locations in the district for the next two days.
