Toll plazas in twin-districts collect revised toll fee from today

Mangaluru: The five toll plazas in the twin-districts will begin charging revised toll charges, as the new financial years begins from today April 1st.

The toll gates at Talapady, Gundmi and Hejamady come under Navayuga Company while the two plazas at Brahmarakootlu and Surathkal fall under National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).

Surathkal NITK toll

One-way toll charge for light vehicles at Surathkal toll plaza has been retained at Rs 50, but for two-way toll, the charges have been increased by Rs 5, from Rs 75 to Rs 80. The monthly pass charges have been increased from Rs 1,670 to Rs 1,740. The toll charge for commercial vehicles registered in the district has been retained at Rs 25. One-way charges for light commercial vehicle, mini buses etc have gone up to Rs 85 from previous 80. The toll toll for two-way travel has been increased from Rs 120 to Rs 125. The monthly pass charge has been increased from RS 2,695 to Rs 2,810. The charge for local commercial vehicle has been retained at Rs 40. In compared to previous Rs 170, one-way charge for buses has been increased to Rs 175. From today onwards, non-commercial vehicles operating within 20 km radius from the plazas concerned will have to buy monthly passes costing Rs 265 (previous Rs 255)

Brahmarakootlu toll

One-way toll charge for light vehicles has been retained at Rs 25 while two-way charge has been increased from Rs 35 to Rs 40. The monthly pass price has been increased to Rs 835 from Rs 800. The toll for commercial vehicles registered in the district has been increased to Rs 15 from Rs 10. One-way charge for light commercial vehicle, mini buses etc has been retained at Rs 40, while Two-way charge has also been retained at Rs 60. Monthly pass price has increased from Rs 1,295 to Rs 1,350. The toll for local commercial vehicle has been maintained at the earlier Rs 20. One-way toll for bus, truck has been increased to Rs 85 from Rs 80 and two-way charge has been increased from Rs 120 to Rs 125. Monthly pass has been increased from Rs 2,710 to 2,825. Vehicles registered in the district will be charged the existing toll of Rs 40.

3 tolls by Navayuga

The toll for one-way travel for car, jeep and light vehicles had been increased from Rs 40 to Rs 45 at Gundmi. However the toll at Talapady and Hejmady has been retained at Rs 40 and Rs35 respectively. The toll for two-way travel is Rs 65 at Gundmi, while at Hejmady and Talapady, it has been increased by Rs 5 to Rs 55 and Rs 60 from Rs 50 and Rs 55 respectively. The price for monthly pass has been changed at Gundmi from Rs 1,395 to Rs1, 450, at Hejmady from Rs 1,145 to Rs 1,195 and at Talapady from Rs 1,255 to Rs 1,305.

One-way charge for light commercial vehicle, mini buses etc has been retained at Rs 670 and Rs 60 at Gundmi and Talapady respectively while at Hejmady, it has been increased from Rs 55 to Rs 60. Two-way toll has been increased from Rs 100 to Rs 105 and from Rs 85 to Rs 90 at Gundmi and Talapady respectively, while at Hejmady it has been retained at Rs 85. There is a hike in the monthly pass prices from Rs 2,250 to Rs 2,345, from Rs 1,850 to Rs 1,930 and from Rs 1,935 to Rs 2,015. The toll for one-way travel for bus and trucks has been increased from Rs 140 to Rs145, from Rs 115 to Rs 120 and from Rs 120 to Rs 125 respectively. Two-way toll has been increased from Rs 210 to Rs 220, from RS 175 to Rs 180 and from Rs 175 to Rs 185. The monthly pass charge has increased from Rs 4,715 to Rs 4,910, from Rs 3,880 to Rs 4,040 and from Rs 3,935 to Rs 4,100 respectively.

Non-commercial vehicles operating within 20 km radius from the plazas concerned will have to buy monthly passes costing Rs 265 (previous Rs 255) from today onward.
