Do not display adverts, slogans on vehicles: DC

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner and District Electoral Officer has warned against displaying advertisements relating to business and individuals, advertisement of political parties, or other slogans either on vehicles or wind screens. Cases will be booked against vehicles found violating this rule.
The DC said that exhibition of motto, slogans, advertisement, which can influence on the election, is tantamount to clear violation of Central Vehicles Rules 1989 (rule 100). Yet, vehicles have been noticed violating this rule. The DC has warned against the violation of this rule.
Vehicles found violating this rule during the election period will be seized without issuance of notices and cases would be registered. The warning has been issued by the Deputy Commissioner, state a release from the Transport Department.
