Bengaluru: BJP state vice president Tejaswini Ananth Kumar on Saturday, April 6 mentioned a word of praise for Nikhil Kumaraswamy, JD(S) candidate from Mandya while expressing her concerns towards environmental protection.

Referring to a video of Nikhil, which was recently aired on Kannada television channels wherein he can be seen drinking tender coconut water without using a straw, Tejaswini urged others to take a lesson from him.

Tejaswini who is associated with ‘Adamya Chetana’, an organistion which works for environment protection, reasoned that the straws that are thrown away end up in water bodies and landfills and create problems for the animals.

Meanwhile, a few people objected to her choice of example while tweeting her concern towards protection of nature.
