Kundapur: “In the previous Lok Sabha elections, members of parliament from BJP won on the basis of Modi wave, but they have failed to deliver their promises and live up to expectations of the people of their respective Lok Sabha constituencies. “In the upcoming elections, all the three coastal seats will be won by Congress-JD(S) alliance. There is no Modi wave in these districts,” said Congress-JD(S) alliance candidate from Shivamogga Lok Sabha Constituency Madhu Bangarappa at a press meet at Maravanthe Sadhana auditorium here on Sunday April 7.

“Modi has failed to deliver on his various promises, such as creating jobs for the youth, and depositing Rs 15 lac in voters’ accounts which were promised in the previous election. He also failed to build the Ram temple which was promised by the BJP,” he pointed and added, “The economic situation of the country has worsened under the Narendra Modi government.”

Expressing happiness over the functioning of the JD(S)-Congress alliance government in Karnataka Mr Bangarappa said, “All the promised projects in our manifesto are being fulfilled. The government has reduced the burden of the farmers by waiving their loans as promised. There is peace in the coastal districts and there is no problem of law and order in the state,” he said.

Bangarappa attacked BS Yeddyurappa by saying that he had failed to get funds for the various promised drinking water projects to the state.”Our state government has released Rs 282 crore for irrigation projects and Rs 482 crore for the development of entire Shimogga district,” he pointed.

“The Congress-JD(S) alliance is committed to defeating the communal BJP in the state. There is no difference of opinion between the Congress and the JD(S) supporters. They will work hard together for the upcoming elections,” added Mr Bangarappa.
