Laxmi Ganesh appointed as new DCP; Uma Prashant transferred

Mangaluru: Laxmi Ganesh of Karnataka State Police Service, has been appointed as the deputy commissioner of police (DCP) of crime and traffic, Mangaluru who took charge on Wednesday 10th.

Meanwhile, superintendent of police (SP) of Mangaluru Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Uma Prashant has been transferred. She was earlier serving as DCP crime and traffic under the Mangaluru city police commissionerate. She was later appointed SP of Mangaluru ACB in February this year.

During her tenure as the DCP, Uma proved herself as a tough cop by heavily cracking down on drug peddlers in the city and shrill horn users in the city.
