Belman: By cleaning the school well even before the vacation, the teachers of Mundkur Government Model Higher Primary School have received much appreciation.
This action was conducted as per the innovative idea of the school’s headmistress Poornima Bhat. Once the school vacation beings, no attention is provided to the well, Akshara Dasoha room or other important accessories of the school. If the well encroached by plants and roots is cleaned, it will be filled with water during the rainy season at the opening of the school. In the same way, if the school’s Akshara Dasoha room and accessories are arranged properly, they can be accessed easily when the school re-opens, inform the teachers here.
Mundkur Government Model Higher Primary School is a model for other schools. The efforts of the teachers, parents and old students is the primary reason the school has remained and grown, informs Arun Rao, an alumni.
Thoughts for management
“With the aim top not to make the school appear as a haunted mansion on the occasion of the school’s re-opening, this action was taken after seriously thinking on managing the things at the school even before the vacation sets in. Other teachers of the school and parents provide their cooperation,” explains Poornima Bhat, Headmistress
