Hubballi: State BJP president BS Yeddyurappa hitting back at PWD Minister H D Revanna’s statement that he would retire from politics if Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister again, said that not just Revanna entire JD(S) party itself would retire from politics after Lok Sabha election results come on May 23.
Addressing pressperson he said that Revanna had said that coalition would win 22 seats in the State, based on his lucky number, and having lemon in his hands. But, he is not aware that the number is based on people’s opinion.
He further added that the BJP will win over 300 seats across the country, including 22 sears in Karnataka.
Recalling Congress leader Janardhan Pujari’s statement he said that Janardhan Pujari had also said that Modi should become the prime minister for two more terms.
After the BJP would win more seats in Lok Sabha elections, confusion would start in Congress-JD(S) alliance, and infighting would explode. BJP would take a suitable decision then, he noted.
Relying on his astrological calculations, Minister and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda’s son H D Revanna on Thursday, April 11 said he would quit politics if Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes to power again.
The PWD minister said UPA would come to power because elections in Karnataka were taking place on April 18, which, he claimed, numerologically suits the UPA.
