Election: Special train to Karavali fully booked within 7 hours

Mangaluru/Bengaluru: Within seven hours of the announcement of the special train to Karavali to enable people of coastal Karnataka living in Bengaluru to cast their votes during the Lok Sabha election, all 842 tickets of the Yeshwanthpur-Karwar-Yashwanthpur special train were reserved.
The special train from Bengaluru to Karwar via Mangaluru on April 17th was arranged by the railways on the request of the Election Commission organizations from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. The train made it easier and possible for voters from DK and Udupi working in Bengaluru, to cast their invaluable votes from their hometown. On April 18th, the train will return back to Bengaluru.
Meanwhile, there is demand for a similar special train for voters from working in Bengaluru to cast their votes in Byndoor segment of Shivamogga constituency and Uttara Kannada constituency going to polls on April 23rd.
