NITK: EVM’s safe transferred to strong rooms

Surathkal: The decision of the people on the candidates contesting for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency has been recorded in the EVM’s which have been safely transported and secured at the strong rooms at NITK Surathkal.

It took till 10 am when all the EVM’s of all the Assembly constituencies coming under DK Lok Sabha constituency were safely transported and secured within the strong rooms. The Election Commission has taken proper action for the counting of the votes her on May 23rd.

Joint security of the police and CRPF has been provided to the centre. The rooms wherein the EVM’s have been stored have been locked and the lock has been stamped. District Deputy Commissioner and Election Officer Sasikanth Senthil, Assistant Commissioner Ravichandra, Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil and DCP Hanumantraya visited the centres on Friday and inspected the security arrangements therein.
