Bengaluru: Social welfare minister of state, Priyank Kharge opined that people would definitely help the Congress party win the upcoming Chincholi by-elections here on Thursday, April 25.
Kharge addressed the media, after the meeting called by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President, Dinesh Gundu Rao. He spoke on the decision of placing an able candidate in Chincholi and also on Dr Umesh Jadhav leaving the Congress party.
He questioned PM Modi and said,” Umesh Jadhav resignation is already a matter that is understood by all, but I would like to ask PM Narendra Modi, was this the administration that he had promised of serving the people of the country with honesty?”
Priyank asked this condemning the ‘Operation lotus’ being conducted on Congress leaders
“Let him first sit calmly and discuss his issues with our leaders as there were still chances for him to express his opinion,” Karge said when asked about the rebel Congress leader Ramesh Jarakiholi’s decision of joining the BJP. He said that his moves would not have any impact on the by-elections
Reacting to the statement of the BJP leaders on the dissolution of the coalition government, he said, “It is just the dates that they are giving about and are fixing deadlines every now and then. Nothing to worry, as it will not affect the coalition government.”
