Mangaluru: Altogether 13,290 students will be attempting the CET exams in the district on April 29-30 and in order to conduct the examinations without any hitch, a preliminary meeting was conducted under the leadership of Additional Deputy Commissioner R.Venkatachalpathy at the DC’s office on Thursday.
Presiding over the meeting attended by the Tahsildar and the principals of 26 colleges where the examinations would be held the ADC said, all precautionary actions have been taken to ensure no problems occur during the examinations. Excluding Besant, the exams were held successfully last year s and in the current year too, it must be held successfully, said the ADC to the chiefs of the educational institutions.
Provide basic facilities
“Provide basic facilities at the colleges getting ready for the CET exams in the district. Examination halls must compulsorily have wall clocks. The district administration will provide complete cooperation to the Department. Confirm if proper facilities are being provided for the students attempting the exams and prepare in accordance with the guidelines and directions provided by Karnataka Examination Authority. Bear in mind the convenience of the students,” he said.
26 examination centres
Speaking at the meeting, PU Division Deputy Direstor Vasudev Kamath said, The examination will be conducted at 26 centres including 3 in Mangaluru taluk, 8 in Moodbidri, 2 in Belthangady and 3 in Puttur. The district treasurer M Madhawa Hegde was present.
