Mangaluru: A girl from Davanagere who had suddenly gone missing from a rented house at Kaibattal on Wednesday was located on Thursday thereby bringing a happy end to the case.

Her sudden disappearance from the house had given rise to suspicion that she might have been kidnapped. A complaint in this connection was submitted to Kadri police station.

Not a kidnapping; only missing

The girl who is pursuing 9th std education had lost all interest in studies and therefore had gone to Bengaluru. However, after reaching there she was haunted by the memories of her family and therefore she promptly returned back to the city on Thursday when Kadri Police took her into custody and released her into the custody of her guardians after due inquiry.
