Ullal beach: Lifeguards rescue two women from Mysuru

Mangaluru: The lifeguards at Mogaveerapatna beach in Ullal near here rescued two women from drowning on Friday April 26. The rescued women from Mysuru and had visited the beach on an outing.

It is said that as the beach began crowding with tourists, the lifeguards warned them against getting into the water. However, the tourist group from Mysuru did not pay heed and ventured into the waters.

Eventually, the two women in the group which went into the water got washed away, but were rescued from drowning and brought to safety by the alert lifeguards here.

The members of the rescue team on the occasion were Prasad Suvarna of coastal regulation body, Ullal Lifeguard Society’s Shashidhar Karkera, Naveen Amin, Jitendra Bangera, Mohan Putran and Suresh.
