H1N1 patients: DK -146, Udupi-225

Mangaluru: H1N1 flu also known as swine flu has been detected in 146 patients in Dakshina Kannada district and in 225 patients in Udupi district.
Last year during the monsoon season, H1N1 flu had created much terror amongst the people in the district, but this year, the disease has surface much before the monsoon season itself and once again, the fear amongst the people is rising. In this backdrop, the Health Department has taken up precautionary action.
In 2015, the disease had claimed the life of 7 people and in 2017 two people succumbed to swine flu. In 2018, 6 people lost their life to H1N1 flu in the months of October and November.
