Three electrocuted to death in Kunigal

Bengaluru: Three persons were electrocuted and 20 others escaped the death after the electric wire laid for the car festival decoration fell on the tractor in which they were travelling.

The deceased are Nagenagowda palya resident Hanumanthaiah (60), his son Girish (22) and Hulivahana resident Sunil (22).

It is gathered that as many as 23 people were travelling in a tractor to attend the local Venkateshwara Swamy temple fair when the electric wires laid for decoration fell on the tractor. Though 20 people jumped out of the tractor, three were struck in the tractor and were electrocuted.

Following the incident, the bodies were sent to Kunigal hospital for postmortem, informed sources.
