Fake letter case: Conditional bail granted to Hemanth Kumar

Bengaluru: The Special Court for People’s Representatives granted conditional bail to Journalist Hemanth Kumar on Wednesday, May 2 with regard to the Lingayat religion fake letter case.
Justice Ramachandra D Huddar, hearing the case granted conditional bail to Hemanth on Rs 50000 as bond and surity.
Hemanth was arrested here on April 27 for allegedly circulating a fake letter, purportedly written by home minister M B Patil to Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi in 2017 on religion tag to the Lingayat sect. On April 30 Hemanth was produced before a court, which granted police custody of Kumar till April 30.
Meanwhile, Patil had termed the letter fake was a conspiracy against him by his rivals.
