Bijur: Youth caught for murdering his elder brother

Kundapur: A youth has been arrested on Saturday for murdering his elder brother on May 3rd. The accused is identified as Santhosh (20) and the victim is Nagaraj (47).

Soon after committing the crime, Santhosh was on the run but was successfully nabbed at Naikanakatte in Bijur and was produced before the court by Byndoor SI Timmesh and staff. The accused has been remanded to police custody until May 18th.

The incident

On May 3rd, Santhosh returned back home drunk in the night and was running around the house in his knickers. His lewd behaviour was objected by Nagaraj. Enraged by this, Santhosh attacked Nagaraj and another relative with the walking stick. Nagaraj suffered grievous injuries and soon succumbed, while the injured relative was admitted to the hospital. Byndoor police registered a case in this connection.
