Mangaluru: Solar traffic blinkers at 16 places

Mangaluru: In connection to the traffic control system in city, it has been decided to newly install solar traffic blinkers a 16 locations in the city, informed Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil.

He tweeted that the blinkers would be installed at accident prone zones.

Action will be taken to install the traffic blinkers at areas with repeated accidents like cross roads, circles, junctions by identifying them and also at locations based on the information provided by the people, he said.

The solar powered traffic lights will make it more convenient for vehicle users. The blinker will give warning regarding the road. The blinkers will be useful to control down the speed of vehicles coming at high speeds and thus accidents will be given a miss.
