Rs 6 crore for emergency water supply: Ivan

Mangaluru: The government has released Rs 6 crore to the district administration to handle the drinking water scarcity in Dakshina Kannada district, informed Parliamentary Secretary Ivan D’Souza at a press meet.
The present water level at Thumbay dam is 4.38mt while last year it was at 5.6mt. On this occasion, discussion has been held with the Deputy Commissioner regarding water supply through tankers and other systems, he said.
