Mangalore: Adopting an animal is a responsibility and commitment one has to make, but at the same time adopting a pet also has its own benefits. A growing body of research suggests that owning and interacting with a pet can improve one’s health. Studies show that those wagging, purring or hopping bundles of love can reduce one’s stress levels, tame blood pressure, curb depression, reduce feelings of loneliness, keep one physically fit and even help one live longer.
It is at this juncture an animal welfare organisation like Animal Care Trust, Shakthinagar plays a significant role in encouraging people to adopt animals which were found abandoned, abused, living under dangerous conditions or injured. In this direction Animal Care Trust has been organising adoption camps for more than a decade.
One such adoption camp is being held on May 12, 2019, Sunday at Pai Sales Suzuki, Chilmbi, Mangalore. The event which is organised in association with Pai Sales Suzuki will be held from 10.00 a.m to 5.00 p.m.
The adoption camp will feature over 40 puppies and 10 kittens.
People who wish to adopt will be required to get their valid photo ID proof for registration. While no adoption fee is charged, ACT only collects a nominal registration fee of Rs 200 that helps in covering the basic medical expenses incurred.
About Animal Care Trust:
ACT, is a registered charitable trust that has been actively involved in caring for these voiceless beings across Mangalore for the 20 years
