Mangaluru/Malpe: The weather department has forecast that there may be rain in different locations along Karavali for days from Sunday due to the low pressure in Arabian Sea.
Since there is strong winds in the sea, the waves will be rough. The difference in the waves was observed on Thursday and it intensified on Friday. But there is no report regarding the return of fishing boats to the coast.
Tourist boat travels stopped
Since the waves have turned rough, tourists boat leaving towards St Mary’s island was stopped since Friday afternoon. Water adventure sports were also not conducted at Malpe beach. It is natural for the waves to rise during full moon. Therefore, this condition is expected to exist for the next 4-5 days, inform fishermen. Considering the situation, conduction of water games and tourist venturing into the waters will be permitted, informed Yatish Baikampady, CEO, Panambur Beach Development Ltd.
