38-year-old fish vendor stabbed to death for harassing woman

Bengaluru: A fish vendor was stabbed to death on Wednesday, May 15 evening by a group of men for allegedly misbehaving with a woman in DJ Halli.
The deceased is identified as Zaraar (38), a resident of Roshan Nagar, the police said. The accused are Mohammed Isaq, Mohammed Ghouse, Sadiq, Woman’s husband Rizwan and relatives Syed Ahmed, Salman.
On Tuesday, May 14 Zaraar had approached the woman’s house in an inebriated state when she was alone and abused her. When her husband and brothers came home she complained about Zaraar’s behaviour to them. Angered by this woman’s brother, husband and her relatives on Wednesday barged into Zaraar’s house and hacked him to death.
As per the sources, a few days ago, there was a tiff between the woman and Zaraar over a trivial issue, following which he used to come drunk and harass her.
However, the police sources informed that all the accused were arrested within hours of the murder.
