MAHE signs MoU with US University

Manipal: Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), Indiana on behalf of Manipal College of Health Professions (MCHP) for Cooperative Education Programmes here on Wednesday.
MAHE, Vice-Chancellor, Dr H Vinod Bhat and Prof Josette Jones, Director, Health Informatics, Indiana University School of Informatics & Computing, USA signed the MoU. Also present on the occasion were, Dr Raghu Director, International Collaboration MAHE, Dr G Arun Maiya, Dean, MCHP and Dr. Palakal Mathew, Senior Executive Associate Dean IUPUI and others.
The MoU will offer opportunities for the students of Bachelors in Health Information Management programme to receive a global certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator and carry out an externship and internship at the IUPUI campus in their final year.
In addition, the students will also get an opportunity to pursue the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management (CAHIIM) accredited Masters in Health Informatics programme. The students will also receive a scholarship and teaching assistantship for pursuing the programme which will have the option of credit transfer.
