Mangaluru: Drinking water supply stopped

Mangaluru: In accordance to the revised water rationing rule, drinking water supply will be stopped from 6am of May 2oth to 6am of May 24th.

Water was supplied from 6am of May 16th to 6am of May 20th. Corporation has been supplying water to elevated areas through water tankers since the last four days.

The water level at Thumbay vented dam has dropped drastically. The water level which stood at 3.52mt on Sunday morning fell to 3.47mt until evening.

Prayers for rain

Special prayers for early rains were conducted at all religious institutions within Mangalore diocese including DK and Kasaragod districts, Bishop Rev Dr Peter Saldhana prayed at St Jacob’s Church at Kateel for the early arrival of monsoon.
