Suspend DLs of drivers involved in road accidents: Commissioner of Police

Mangaluru: In order prevent road accidents in the city, Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil on Monday, May 20 directed the officials of Regional Transport Office (RTO) to suspend the Driving License of the drivers involved in road accidents.

Addressing a coordination meeting at his office to discuss preventing road accidents asked the RTO official to suspend the Driving License of the drivers who were previously involved in road accidents

Sandeep further asked the police department had identified the black spots which lead to accidents and take corrective measures to ensure humps, better lighting, cautionary signs, dividers among others to prevent accidents.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), Public Works Department (PWD) and RTO officials were present at the meeting.
