District receives scattered rainfall at various locations

Mangaluru: Slight drizzling was reported from various locations in the district on Thursday May 23rd with Puttur receiving good rainfall in the afternoon.
The rain lasted for nearly half-an-hour and the sudden unexpected rain left many people drenched including those who had ventured into the open to attend weddings and other occasions. Additionally, supporters of Nalin Kumar who won the Lok Sabha election were not deterred by the rain and took out a victory procession in the rain itself.
A few parts received slight drizzle in the morning and a cloudy weather prevailed during the evening providing assistance in only increasing the temperatures.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in the district were 35 and 25 degree Celsius respectively. There is a possibility of rain in some parts of the coast in the next 48 hours, informs the weather forecast by the Meteorological Department.
Meanwhile a cloudy weather encapsulated Udupi as well.
