Unhappily married: Young bride arrested for stabbing her husband

Kadaba: In a bizarre incident, a young bride stabbed her husband in an attempt to murder him at Anitadka in Koila village of Kadaba taluk on Thursday night.
The accused woman is identified as Supriya (30), wife of Gopala Krishan Naik, a resident of Anitadka Atrelu. She works as a teacher in Belthangady.
The woman is originally a resident of Atrelu in Bantwal taluk was married to Gopala Krishna only 25 days back. It is said that she was not happy of this marriage and also did not allow her husband to come near her.
It has been alleged that on Thursday night, When Gopala Krishna entered Supriya’s room in the night, she stabbed her husband twice through a knife which she had kept hidden in a bag. Grievously injured Gopala has been admitted at a private hospital in Puttur. He has sustained serious injury to his neck. The police is conducting intense investigation into why the accused did not like her husband.
