Two die in rain-related incidents

Bengaluru: In two separate rain-incidents, two persons, including a young boy, lost their lives on Sunday, following heavy rainfall and strong winds.
As per the sources, Manoj (12), son of daily wage workers from Andhra Pradesh, died after a tree branch fell on him on MG Road. Manoj had arrived from his native place to travel in the city along with his parents.
Though Manoj was rushed to the hospital immediately he succumbed to his injuries.
In another incident, a person who was clearing the tree branches fell onto his house and died after coming into contact with a live wire.
The deceased has been identified as Satish (38), a daily wage labourer living with his mother. The incident was reported from the Ramachandrapp Layout in Coxtown.
Following the rain-related incidents, BBMP announces Rs 5 lakh compensation to the families of both the deceased, informed sources.
