Four men assault KSRTC bus conductor at Ujire

Belthangady: A group of four allegedly assaulted a KSRTC bus conductor in a KSRTC bus that was plying towards Mangaluru from Dharmasthala on Wednesday night May 29. The injured bus conductor Vijay Kumar has been hospitalized.

The four persons who attacked the conductor have been identified as Jayaprakash Shetty alias J P, a resident of Badekottu, Kolambe Narayana Gowda alias Baddi Narayana, Shashidhar Madivala of Kalmunje and Gangadhar, a resident of Kanyadi.

The real reason behind the assault is not yet known but according to sources, the assault was a result of a trivial issue between the conductor and the accused. Some passengers were also assaulted for recording the video of the incident.

No arrests have been made yet, but a case in this connection has been registered at Bantwal police station.
