BJP leads in Moodbidri, Sullia; Hung verdict in Mulki

Mangaluru: BJP has continued its recent success and secured majority in three bodies while Mulki town has not given clear majority to any of the parties in the local bodies election held recently.

Moodbidri

The result of the local body election was declared today and BJP gained the clear majority by securing 12 seats in Moodbidri municipality while congress managed to secure 11 seats. Ignominious defeat was faced by four rebels who fought the election, two each from the Congress and BJP.

Sullia

BJP secured 14 seats in Sullia town panchayat while Congress came a distant second with four seats and others got two seats.

Mulki

The result at Mulki town panchayat remained unclear as BJP got eight seats to Congress’s nine while JD(S) could bag a seat as well.
