War of words between SDPI activists, Bellare mosque management committee, one injured

Sullia: A person was hospitalised after a verbal argument that began between SDPI activists and Bellare mosque management committee escalated into a fight here on Monday, June 3.
Secretary of the mosque committee, Ibrahim is the injured person and is undergoing treatment at a Puttur hospital.
The fight reportedly took place shortly after the namaz prayers at the mosque on occasion of Ramzan. The argument ensued between the two groups after representatives of the mosque managing committee stopped SDPI leader, Shaffi Bellare from delivering a sermon as he had not taken any prior permission from the mosque management committee. Later the two groups are said to have clashed with each other during which Ibrahim was injured.
A police complaint was filed by Ibrahim against Shaffi Bellare, Iqbal Bellare, Muneer, Basheer, Ashraf, and Asheer. Meanwhile, Shaffi Bellare and Iqbal Bellare too registered a counter complaint against Ibrahim, Abubakkar, Jamal K S, Azharuddin, Ummer, and Jamal Manimajalu.
